“The Return”

I had been away from my friends and what little family I had for several months. I had left them all with little warning, and no explanation of why or where I was going. Iy would have been too dangerous if I had told them of my purpose on this journey, only tragedy and pain would have come if they had followed me. The task I set out to do was destined for myself alone, no other had the knowledge and experiences necessary to complete the tasks that had been set before me. Most wouldn’t even be able to understand what I had been through. I hope with all of my heart what no other ever has to go through what I had.

I slept, tormented by visions of and memories of my journey beyond the known galaxy. I tossed and turned, thrashing back and forth like a Corellian shark caught in afisherman’s net. I awoke from my tormented sleep, sweat dripping from my brow onto the fine fur of my muzzle.

“You alright back there?” Captain Neary said.

“It’s nothing, only bad dreams,” I said.

Captain Neary was tough and dirty, but at his core a good man who didn’t care much for the evils of the Empire or for the radical ideas of the Alliance. He was content to live his life scouting hyperspace routes into the lesser known regions of the Galaxy. I was lucky to be found by him, or anyone for that matter. I had dropped back into the known Galaxy from a place so foreign and different that most here would have trouble even comprehending the flow of events in that other reality.

“You’re sure it’s nothing?”

“I’m fine, stop worrying so much,”

“Alright, I’ll leave ya’ alone... that the hell?”

“What’s wrong? Is it serious?”

“We’re dropping out of hyperspace ahead of schedule,”

“What do you mean ahead of schedule?”

“The nav-comp’s detected a gravity well in our path,”

“Can’t we avoid it?”

“I can’t; we have to drop to sub-light speeds and recalculate a new route,”

Captain Neary’s scout ship stopped violently when it dropped out of hyperspace slamming me against a bulkhead. My vision slowly faded as I felt the cold chill of blood trickle from the laceration on my head. Alarm sirens echoed though the cramped interior of the ship, and faded slowly until all that remained was an empty darkness.

My head throbbed. My vision was blurred for a moment and came into focus slowly. I didn’t know where I was, but I was trapped. I heard the whooshing sound of a door opening, and turned to see the face of my captor.

“Ahsh, you’re not damaged... exsscellent,” a grimy alien said.

“Yeah? And what’s it to you?” I said.

“Nature has been a fine sculptor, your body will fetch a fine price on the slave market,”

“And you just try to sell me!”

“Oh, it’s not so hard as you might think,”

“What do you mean?”

“This,” he said as he raised a chemical delivery gun and fired. I dodged but wasn’t quick enough to avoid the dart with struck me in the shoulder with enough force to throw me off balance and slam into the cold metal floor. I could feel the neurochemical rushing through my body with lightning speed.

“That my pretty will make you more open to suggestions,” he said.

“I’ll never do what you say,” I snarled.

“Oh, come on now, you will. Now come here like a good girl and give me a kiss,”

I did as he asked, but only because I had to maintain the illusion that he was in control. I pressed my lips against his fatty disgusting lips, I cringed inside but did my best to not appear disgusted.

“I’ll see you later,” he said winking.

Ugh, he doesn’t mean that does he? That vile disgusing creature! He doesn't know who he's dealing with. His foolish idea will be his down fall.I thought to myself with a smile.

Very cool, but I know a certain bothan who would be blowing a blood vessel if he discovered that something like this was happening.
